RAIN CHAPTER CD OUT NOW!!! SEE BELOW!
Hmm… I'm not sure what I'm going to do with this page yet, but I'll try to do something here. Well, I've played in several bands in my lifetime. When I was a wee junior high child, I played bass and did back-up vocals for a punk band called the Bango Yackoffs. Yeah I know. We did get pretty big, especially for junior high and early high school kids. However, we had a somewhat negative breakup that I still don't understand to this day. Last I heard, the drummer was in some hardcore band called Gorgonzola and the guitarist was going to school at the University of Illinois at Champaign.
After substituting for numerous bands for a few years, I came upon my next organized endeavor called Haley. The sound was a bit emo but more rock-ish (i.e. Foo Fighters or Semisonic). We played a few shows during our year and a half together, before going through a pretty…well… interesting break-up. Those who know me probably know that entertaining story.
The next band I played bass in was called Tearsome. We only played two or three shows, but wrote what I consider to be some of my proudest music. It was emo-hardcore, in the realm of bands like Sunny Day Real-estate, Pocketknife Gang, or even I Hate Myself. However, we were never able to find a permanent drummer, so we gradually disbanded.
The current band I'm in is the Rain Chapter. It features Todd Baran on guitar, Chrissy Parisi on keyboards, and myself on guitar and special effects. We have a cd out!!! If you want a copy, send a check to Matt Cavanaugh, 17600 Capistrano, Orland Park, IL 60467 and write it out to me for $6 (thats $5 for cd, $1 for shipping). The cd features 7 musical tracks and two of mixes. People sometimes describe us as "emo-new-age" and we should be playing a few shows this summer. One is already scheduled at Todd's house for the 4th of July. Other info will be posted here.

Finally, I've begun working on some solo stuff under the name
"A Date With Fate." It, so far, has proven to be mellow, experimental, and Christian in nature. I will be recording a 3 or 4 song CD within the next month. If you're interested, please email me.
